Guest researcher from Poland interested in the work of our research center

We were delighted to welcome Michał Pałasz, Assistant Professor at Jagiellonian University and an Ambassador of the European Climate Pact, to the SZTE Greennovation Center. He visited us during his stay at the Institute of Ecological Economics at the University of Szeged.

During our meeting, we presented the research activities of the SZTE Greennovation Center and the Green Technology Readiness Research Group, as well as key topics such as carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCU/S) technologies, the operation of the Energy Innovation Test Station, and the development process of the White Paper on Carbon Dioxide Storage and Utilization (CCS/CCU) Options in Hungary, including key findings from our survey conducted among the country’s largest CO₂ emitters.

In this constructive exchange, Michał also shared valuable insights into his work, including the Strategic Action Plan for Environmental Education at the Polish Ministry of Climate and Environment and the 2030 Environmental and Climate Strategy of Jagiellonian University.

Thank you for the visit and the insightful professional discussion!
