Net Zero Industry Act

Another huge step has been made in the field of carbon dioxide utilization!

The Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA), which is about facilitating the manufacturing of components necessary for the deployment of net zero technologies, was adopted and published in the Official Journal.

According to the news of CO2 Value Europe, the NZIA is now officially a law, which can provide a foundation and serve as a reference to support the deployment of clean technologies throughout Europe. NZIA classifies carbon capture and utilization technologies as net zero technologies, which can contribute to the EU's clean-energy transition.

According to the development, this can bring important benefits to CCU projects (such as the production of e-fuels and CCU chemicals, or CO2 mineralization): less burdensome administration, faster permitting processes, and the use of the "strategic net zero project" label at the national level.
