Our latest research outcome from the Green Technology Readiness Research Group has been published in the volume of “Navigating the Future: Digitalization, Sustainability, and International Business”.
The peer-reviewed volume publishes selected papers from the conference entitled “Globalisation, integration, cooperation – what is at stake in the current turbulent times?” held at the University of Szeged, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
What does the research cover?
The paper provides a comprehensive overview of the regulatory and institutional environment in the European Union that may influence the application of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCU/S) technologies. It analyzes the legal and regulatory frameworks that facilitate the deployment of CCU/S technologies, maps the evolution of climate strategies and targets, and presents both current and future infrastructure development programs and projects. In addition, the study emphasizes the role of organizations and support systems that are key to promoting the adoption of CCU/S technologies, thereby contributing to achieving decarbonization goals.
