The Materials for Sustainable Development Conference (MATSUS) took place in Lausanne, Switzerland. The conference focuses on materials science, chemistry, and engineering research essential for a sustainable future.
Three members of our research group participated in the event, presenting their research conducted within the framework of the National Laboratory for Renewable Energy (NLRE) project. They held presentations on the electrocatalytic valorization of crude glycerol paired with CO₂ reduction and on the electrochemical upgrading of carbon monoxide, with a special focus on the experimental parameters determining reaction rate and selectivity. Additionally, in a poster presentation, they shared their research findings related to paired CO2/glycerol electrolysis employing noble metal catalysts.
Sustainable energy and material utilization are crucial for our future – we are proud to contribute to this goal with our research!
