Krisztina Kádár, a member of the Green Technology Readiness Research Group, examined how different countries deal with carbon dioxide emissions and the introduction of carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCU/S) technologies.

The research compares the national carbon management strategies of the United States, Canada, Sweden, France and Austria based on six aspects, including legal, economic, technological and social aspects. According to the results, technological development alone is not enough: clear regulation, adequate financing and the involvement of social actors are also needed for the success of CCU/S solutions.

The study was published in the volume of a conference organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Szeged, the topic of which is the European green and digital transition, studies from policy to practice.
