The paper of SZTE has made the cover page

Within the framework of the National Laboratory for Renewable Energy (NLRE) project, the SZTE-AKKT team reported on an interface showing increased activity.

This interface can be used in various carbon dioxide conversion technologies, such as producing synthetic fuels. The advantage of the achievement is that it makes the process faster and more efficient, reduces costs, and can also facilitate future environmental research.

In professional details: The research team reported on a nanodesigned Pt/MnOx interface showing enhanced activity in the reverse water gas shift (RWGS) reaction. As the result of edge dislocations generated at the Pt/MnO interface, linearly adsorbed CO is destabilized and released fast from the Pt nanoparticle - this leads to the enhanced catalytic performance of the Pt/MnO in the RWGS reaction.
